1. Improve the chicken house environment and create a microclimate
① Reduce the temperature of the chicken house. When the house temperature exceeds 25°C, a water curtain can be set at the air inlet to cool the hot air before entering the chicken house. This method can reduce the house temperature by 4 to 5°C and keep the temperature down for 6 to 8 hours. When the house temperature exceeds 30°C, you can use a high and low mist rotary nozzle sprayer to spray cold water directly on the roof or chicken body, spraying once every 2 to 3 hours, which can reduce the temperature of the chicken house by 6 to 8°C.
②Keep the chicken house and sports field dry. The environment of high temperature and high humidity is easy for microorganisms to breed and multiply, and induce the occurrence and spread of diseases. Therefore, keep the chicken house dry to prevent mold growth.
③Ensure that the chicken house is well ventilated. Due to the high temperature in summer, the respiratory rate increases, and the concentration of harmful gases such as carbon dioxide in the air increases. Therefore, to ensure that there is sufficient oxygen in the chicken house, it must be ventilated, doors and windows should be opened frequently, and exhaust fans can be installed if conditions permit.
2. Change the feeding method and adjust the ration formula
Two-head feeding method is adopted. Feed early in the morning and extend the feeding time in the evening. When the noon is hot, no feed or only green feed, such as chopped watermelon rind, should be fed.
Reduce the energy value of feed. Experiments have proved that when the temperature of the chicken house is above 25℃, the feed intake of broilers will be reduced by 1.6% for every 1℃ increase in the temperature of the chicken house. Energy should be appropriately reduced, and the protein level should be increased by 10-15%.
