Requirements for incubators
1. Active temperature control, uniform temperature generally requires a temperature control accuracy of ±0.2oC, and the temperature difference at each point in the machine is not greater than 0.4oC.
2. Fair ventilation, timely ventilation, each embryo egg should have a ventilation volume of 0.002-0.010m3/h during hatching, and a ventilation volume of 0.004-0.015m3/h during hatching, so as to make the air in the machine fresh and CO2 content not more than 0.5%.
3. Turn the eggs regularly, the angle should be enough, and the action should be stable. Generally, the eggs are turned every 1.0-2.5h, and the angle of turning the eggs is ±45o. When the egg tray is turned to the maximum angle, neither the egg nor the egg tray can fall off.
4. Active control of humidity and proper humidity. Generally, the relative humidity is required to be 53% to 57% during the incubation period and 65% to 70% during the hatching period, with an error of no more than 3%.

Variable temperature incubation is to give different temperatures according to the type of incubator, the temperature of the incubation room and the age of embryo development. If the ambient temperature is lower than 20 degrees Celsius, the incubation temperature can be 0.5 to 0.7 degrees Celsius higher than the optimum temperature; if the ambient temperature is higher than 30 degrees Celsius, the incubation temperature can be lowered by 0.2 to 0.6 degrees Celsius.
Ambient temperature has a certain influence on incubation, and the level of ambient temperature mainly affects the accuracy of temperature control in incubation. In production, it is generally flexibly mastered according to different regions and different seasons. Constant temperature incubation and variable temperature incubation are two incubation methods that are often used depending on the ambient temperature. Both constant temperature incubation and variable temperature incubation can achieve better results if they are properly operated. Constant temperature incubation is to maintain a temperature from 1 to 19 days of incubation, such as: 37.8 degrees Celsius; and from 19 to 21 days at 37.2 degrees Celsius, constant temperature incubation requires higher environmental conditions for incubation, and the ambient temperature should be maintained at Between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius and with good ventilation.
