Storage of breeding eggs
1. Suitable temperature
When the egg is laid out of the mother's body, the embryonic development stops temporarily, and then the embryo begins to develop under a certain external environment. When the environmental temperature is too high but not the appropriate temperature for embryo development, the embryonic development is incomplete and unstable, which is easy to cause Early embryonic death.
When the environmental temperature is low for a long time (0°C), although the embryo development is in a static state, the embryo vitality is severely reduced, and even death. Generally, the suitable temperature for storage of breeding eggs is 13℃~18℃, and the storage time is long, the lower temperature limit is adopted, and the storage time is short, and the upper temperature limit is adopted.
2. Relative humidity
There are about 7,500 pores with a diameter of 1.5-15 microns in the eggshell of the breeding egg. During the storage of the breeding egg, the water in the egg continuously evaporates through these small holes, and the speed is inversely proportional to the humidity in storage. Generally, the relative humidity is maintained at 75% to 80%. In addition, do not let direct sunlight and draughts blow directly on the eggs.
3. Save time
Even if the breeding eggs are kept in a suitable environment, the hatching rate will decrease with time. With the extension of storage time, the bactericidal properties of protein decrease. The increase in water evaporation in the egg changes the pH in the egg, causing the yolk fringe and yolk membrane to become brittle.
Due to the activity of various enzymes in the egg, the embryo is weakened and the nutrients are denatured, which reduces the viability of the embryo, and the reproduction of residual bacteria endangers the embryo and causes the hatching rate to drop. It is generally believed that the storage time of breeding eggs is 5-7 days, not more than 2 weeks.

attention
Quail has high body temperature, fast breathing and heartbeat, rapid growth, precocious sex, and more eggs, so it has a strong metabolism and high demand for nutrients. However, due to its small body, the digestive tract is not long and the digestive capacity is not as good as other poultry, it is still in the feeding process. We must pay attention to keeping good keeping.
1. Energy needs During the entire life of a quail, the amount of heat that needs to be dissipated from the body surface is about 62.76-66.94 kJ each day. Metabolism, food intake, exercise, etc. require energy; growth and egg production require energy. All this energy comes from carbohydrates, fats and some protein in the feed. But not all the energy contained in the feed can be used, part of it is excreted with feces and part of it is lost with the body surface. Therefore, energy needs to be constantly replenished.
2. Protein requirements Quail eggs contain 12.3% protein, and meat contains 22.2% protein. Protein is the basis of life activities, the main raw material for growth, reproduction and tissue renewal, and it is also the main component of antibodies.
Egg-laying quail needs about 5 grams of protein per day, or the diet needs to contain about 24% protein, the feed for growing quail should contain 20%-24% protein, and the feed for meat quail should contain 24%-25% protein.
3. The need for inorganic salts Inorganic salts play a very important role in animal organisms. Inorganic salts are indispensable for the formation of bones, tissues and organs, and at the same time it can ensure the normal progress of life activities.
According to analysis, quail contains 18 kinds of elements, of which macro elements (more than 0.01% in the body) include calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, chlorine, sulfur, and magnesium; trace elements (less than 0.01% in the body) include iron , Copper, zinc, manganese, iodine, cobalt, selenium, fluorine, chromium, molybdenum, silicon.
4. The need for vitamins Vitamins are necessary to maintain the growth, production, reproduction and health of the animal body. Fat-soluble vitamins are generally not lacking in quail, and water-soluble vitamins are rarely stored in the body and must be supplied in the diet.
5. Water needs The water content of the entire body of quail is more than 70%, and it is also an important part of eggs, body fluids and cells. Quail is inseparable from water for digestion, absorption, excretion, body temperature regulation and breathing. If there is a lack of water, metabolism cannot proceed normally, and 10% loss of water will cause death, so drinking water must be guaranteed. Drink warm water in winter to prevent cold in the quail's stomach.
