Novice Chicken Raising: Common Sense of Chicks Feeding
Brooding is the key to raising chickens. The quality of brooding is not only related to the growth and development of young chickens, but also directly related to the success or failure of raising chickens. How to improve the survival rate of brooding. According to personal experience, if you want to increase the survival rate of brooding, you must do the following.
1. Preparation before brooding
1. The brooding room requires good heat preservation and good electrical circuits to eliminate rodent damage.
2. Thoroughly disinfect the brooding room before entering the chicks, and thoroughly disinfect the brooding utensils with disinfectant.
3. Prepare feed and common drugs
4. The brooding room is preheated. The day before the chicks enter, the brooding room must be heated to 32-34℃ before entering the chicks.
2. Feeding and management of chicks
1. Chick selection
The quality of the chicks not only affects the survival rate of the chicks, but also relates to the economic benefits of raising the chickens. Therefore, it is necessary to choose chicks with bright hair, flexible movements, uniform body, and no abnormal eyes.
2. Temperature management
The early temperature has a great influence on the growth and uniformity of the chicks. Therefore, it is particularly important to control the temperature in the first three days. This is because the body temperature regulation function of the chicks just out of the shell is not yet perfect, and the temperature must be adapted from the outside world. As long as the chickens are evenly distributed and the activity is ordinary, the temperature on the thermometer is suitable when the appetite is strong. On the contrary, the flocks of chickens get together, lose their appetite, open their mouths and kick, avoiding the heat source, which means that the temperature is too low or too high, so adjust them in time. While ensuring the temperature, pay attention to the ventilation during brooding. Temperature requirements: 1 week old 35-33℃ 2 weeks old 32-31℃ 3 weeks old 30-27℃ 4 weeks old 27-24℃ 5 weeks old 24 -21℃
3. Humidity management
Humidity has a great influence on the growth and development of chicks, so 10 days before brooding, the relative humidity should be maintained at about 65% in the room. After 10 days, the brooding room is prone to moisture and moisture content due to the increase in the weight of the chicks, the increase in breathing and defecation Increase, keep it as dry as possible, pay attention to ventilation, and keep the indoor relative humidity at 50%-55%.
4. Light management
The chicks are given light for 24 hours in the first three days, and from the 4th day onwards, the light will be reduced by 1 hour per day until 8 hours a day. When artificial light is used, pay attention to the intensity of light: 40 watts of strong light can be used when the chicks are 1 week old Light bulbs, 15-25 watt bulbs are used at other times.
5. Density management
About 70 young chickens per square meter at 1 week old, 40-50 young chickens per square meter at 2 weeks old, and later according to the growth of young chickens. In addition, pay attention to the hygiene of the chicken house, keep it dry, and disinfect regularly.
6. Drinking water and feeding management
After the chicks are transported, they will be transferred to the chicks room and rest for about 1 hour. They will be fed with 8% sugar or glucose boiling water at 20℃. After 2 hours, they will be replaced with electrolytic multi-dimensional boiling water. The chicks will be placed in drinking water from day 2 to day 5. Antibiotics and electrolytic multivitamins are fed once every morning and afternoon. Place weak young chickens close to the heat source. Each feeding should be fed less frequently, and be patiently induced to start feeding, 6-8 times a day within 1 week of age, 4 times a day within 2 weeks of age, 3 times a day for 3 weeks of age, and 4 weeks of age 1 Feed it twice a day, usually with warm water within 1 week of age, and change to cold water after 1 week of age.
7. De-temperature management
The temperature of the chicks starts at 33-35°C, and decreases by 2°C every week until it matches the natural temperature. At this time, even if the temperature is off.
