Calcium and phosphorus intake. Calcium is the main component of eggshell formation, so it is necessary to increase the intake of calcium and phosphorus in the diet as much as possible, such as adding more eggshells and eggshell powder to the feed. It should be noted that these two calcium source feeds must be disinfected before being added. This is not only to increase the calcium in the feed, but also to add sodium bicarbonate.

Experience has shown that when the temperature reaches 27°C, the daily intake of 0.3g-0.5g sodium bicarbonate per 100 chickens can greatly increase the egg production rate.

Increase vitamins. In summer, heat stress of laying hens is particularly prone to cause vitamin deficiencies, so it is necessary to increase the content of multiple vitamins in the diet. Hu Hutang suggests that in the hot summer, the amount of vitamin C and E can be increased by 2-3 times, especially vitamin C, which can significantly alleviate heat stress.

According to reports, adding 0.02% vitamin C to the diet can increase the laying rate of laying hens by 9%, or adding 0.5% sodium bicarbonate to the feed can significantly reduce heat stress, increase egg production rate and eggshell thickness , Reduce mortality and improve feed conversion rate.

Hu Hutang reminds: Vitamin C has an important relationship with the formation of eggshells. At least 200 g/ton should be added, and there is no effect if it is less.
