Basic data of caged broiler house equipment
Domestic broiler cage farming has become the mainstream, and the maturity of shed design and breeding success rate is getting higher and higher. However, many equipment requirements for caged broiler chickens must be calculated through calculations, which is more troublesome. The basic data of cage breeding is not very clear, so we sorted out the simple algorithm of the basic data of cage broiler house equipment and shared it with you, hoping to help you.
1. Ventilation equipment: Ventilation equipment mainly includes exhaust fans, water curtains, small air inlet windows, vent pipes, etc. 1. Large exhaust fans: The number of exhaust fans required in the chicken house is determined by the maximum wind speed we want to achieve. This is closely related to the cross-sectional area of the chicken house. For caged chicken houses, we require the highest average wind speed of the chicken house to reach 2.8 m/s. The simple algorithm is as follows:
The number of large exhaust fans = the cross-sectional area of the chicken coop * the highest average wind speed/10 For example: the cross-sectional area of the chicken coop is 54 square meters * 2.8 meters per second/10 = 15.1. According to the "forward method", we install 16 large fans row.
2. Water curtain area: a large exhaust fan needs a water curtain area of 7 square meters. Take the chicken house above as an example, the water curtain area required by the chicken house is 16*7=112 square meters 3. Small air inlet windows and ventilation Pipe: The air inlet area of the small air inlet window can meet at least 40% of the air inlet demand when the exhaust fan is turned on. The calculation is more troublesome. We can take a simple method, that is, one small window for every 200 chickens and one ventilation pipe (if If it needs to be installed, the diameter of the ventilation pipe is 200 mm). For example, in a chicken house with 30,000 chickens, then we need 30,000/200=150, that is, one side wall is equipped with 75 small windows and 75 ventilation pipes.
The above data are relatively accurate data, and it is also restricted by the width, length, geographic location, etc. of the chicken coop. The calculation should be adjusted flexibly according to the local conditions.
2. Cages: There are many types and specifications of cages. Generally speaking, the same width, Yuanbao cages are low in price but relatively rough, and frame cages are more regular but higher in price, but there is no significant difference in the breeding management and breeding performance of the two. . In terms of specifications, the width ranges from 60cm to 140cm. Of course, there are also cages with a width of more than 3 meters. I personally do not recommend single-row cages with a width of 1 meter.
The height of the cage has a significant impact on the air quality, temperature, and waterline height in the cage. Data shows that the height of the cage is not recommended to be less than 45cm.
At present, the management of 4-layer cages is more difficult, and the contradiction between ventilation and humidity is more prominent, so I do not recommend using 4-layer cages.
3. Feeding density: The stocking density is inversely proportional to the breeding weight of a single broiler. For a chicken group of about 5.5 kg (2.75 kg), the density of 17.5 ± 1 chicken per square (48 kg ± 2.75 kg) can be guaranteed In the later period, the density is not too large and does not affect the normal eating of chickens. In cold seasons such as winter, you can choose 18.5 pigs/square, and in summer, you can choose 16.5 pigs/square or even lower stocking density.
4. Material level and water level: The size of the material level is directly proportional to the breeding weight of a single broiler. Taking 5.5 kg/bird as an example, the feeding level of the trough is generally required to be no less than 8cm/chicken, which also requires a wide cage It is necessary to increase the material level, such as hanging troughs on both sides of the cage.
Water level: In theory, one nipple can provide drinking water for 8-10 chickens. The more nipples are installed, the better. Nowadays, a cage with a length of 60-80cm generally uses 2 nipples, and a cage with a length of 80-100cm uses 3 or more nipples.
